I am not a song writer or a singer…. I love Leonard Cohen. However, when I hear him sing Ain’t No Cure For Love, I can’t help but think Ain’t No Cure For MS. So with apologies to Leonard Cohen, here is my version of his song, which you can hear on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM7vULqs31Q – Also, if any of you are musical, and want to sing this (you are free to fuss with my lyrics all you want!), please do so and put it on YouTube and post a link here.

Ain’t No Cure For MS

Was healthy for a long, long time
I know this health was real
It don’t matter, how it all went wrong
But it changed the way I feel.
I can’t believe that time is not
Gonna heal this wound that I’m speaking of.
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure for MS.
I’m aching for being well
I can’t pretend I’m not
I want to be so well now
In my body and my thought.
I’ve got it like a habit
And I’ve had more than enough.
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure for MS
There ain’t no cure for MS
There ain’t no cure for MS.
The neurologists want to medicate me
Their prescription pads open wide.
The scientists working all day
But will they ever find a cure for MS?
There ain’t no drink no drug
(Ah tell them, Warriors)
There’s nothing pure enough to be a cure for MS.
I am going for an MRI; results never change.
I am lying down with MS, I am slowly waking up.
You say that I look well enough
But MS cannot be seen.
And I call to it, I call to it
Call MS more than enough.
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure
There ain’t no cure for MS.
I walked into my empty kitchen, had no place else to go
When the foulest feeling ever felt filled me to my soul
I don’t need to be forgiven for hating you so much
It’s in medical journals
It’s written in myelin
I even heard the devil declare it from below.
There ain’t no cure,
There ain’t no cure,
There ain’t no cure for MS
There ain’t no cure for MS
There ain’t no cure for MS.
All the pharmacists want to sell me drugs
Cash registers are open wide.
Medical scientists hard at work
But they’ll never ever find that cure (cure for MS)
That cure for MS
(No cure for MS)
(There ain’t no cure for MS)
(No cure for MS, there ain’t no cure for MS)
